This artistic film draws from the art of flying kites since time immemorial: encapsulated in cave paintings, science and literature. During the first lockdown in the year 2020, the artist took his boy to a park on the site of the former Berlin Tempelhof Airport, in order to fly a kite – a way to spend time while the kite meanders through the expanse of soaring heights of the sky.

Children games often reveal a sense of hope, a playful distraction, a gentle reminder of the beauty of everyday. This film captures only a fragment of a moment that became part of our contemporary story.
