Salvation Mountain - Slideshow

Folk art sculpture created by Leonard Knight in the California desert

The slideshow captures a phone conversation between Gregory and Esenija, who on two separate occasions had visited the folk art sculpture Salvation Mountain, in the California desert, created by the artist Leonard Knight (1931–2014): Gregory while passing through in 1994 and twelve years later, Esenija in preparation for the group exhibition The Art of Belief presented by the Visionary Art Museum of Los Angeles in 2006.
In a series of slides, the scenes depict Leonard Knight in continuing to create his Salvation Mountain, his truck, his adobe home, the stillness and light of the desert landscape in California.
